The Tudor-Griffth Wedding (June 2011)

The Tudor-Giffith wedding involved working with feathers rather than flowers.
Liz wanted something a bit different so we used the feather establishment on her wedding dress as inspiration.

I used a mixture of biots, hackle and goose feathers to create texture with pearls and crystals adding a touch of extravagance.
Liz wanted a necklace that emphasised the striking back-line of her dress.
I made her a classic three tier pearl necklace with a back pendant for stunning and unusual look.
I made a matching pearl bracelet tied with ribbon and lace as a finishing touch.

The wedding was held in a beautiful venue overlooking the coast in Sandbanks and the colour palate reflected the stunning view out to sea.
The bridesmaid bouquets were also made using feathers. I wanted them to echo the vivid blue dresses while still remaining visible when held against them. I used a mixture of teal, navy and kingfisher blue feathers to create these bouquets. Each feather flower is centred around wired pearls.

The buttonholes were made using peacock sword feathers and plumage together with the same goose and rooster feathers used in the bridesmaid bouquets.

Wishing Dave and Liz Tudor-Griffith a very happy marriage - thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.
Thank you also to Az Rehman at Lemontree Photography for allowing me to use his wonderful pictures!
